MGM Resorts to Reopen Mississippi Casinos
MGM Resorts is set to resume operations at its Mississippi gambling establishments next week. The Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica is scheduled to reopen its doors on May 25th, while the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi will follow suit on June 1st. MGM plans to host exclusive, invite-only gatherings at each casino prior to their public opening. All casinos in Mississippi were shuttered on March 16th.
The Mississippi Gaming Commission has established new regulations for casinos to operate at half their usual capacity. Table games and slot machines will be arranged to facilitate social distancing.
