BetMGM is taking a firm stance on accountable gaming. They’re going to start including messages about responsible gambling in all their advertisements, just as the US Congress is contemplating a complete prohibition of gambling ads.

This new initiative will commence in March, which is Problem Gambling Awareness Month. You’ll encounter these messages in a variety of locations, such as on television, radio, billboards, and even within their application.

BetMGM collaborated with GameSense, an organization dedicated to assisting individuals in gambling responsibly, to develop these messages. GameSense is already integrated into BetMGM’s website, providing tools and information about responsible gaming.

The chief executive officer of MGM Resorts, Bill Hornbuckle, stated that as gambling gains popularity, it’s crucial to ensure individuals are engaging in gambling safely.

MGM Resorts, a frontrunner in the gaming and entertainment sector, is establishing the benchmark for accountable gaming with GameSense. They are commending BetMGM for their dedication to responsible gaming practices.

BetMGM’s chief executive, Adam Greenblatt, declared that they are dedicated to spearheading the industry in promoting responsible gaming. This encompasses emphasizing responsible gaming messages in their promotional materials. He underscored the significance of equipping players with tools and resources to engage in gaming responsibly and securely, as well as making a substantial commitment to showcasing responsible gaming in their advertising.

Greenblatt also revealed a collaboration with the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) to comprehend the connection between advertising and problematic gambling.

There is mounting pressure to prohibit sports betting promotions on television, radio, and the internet. Representative Paul Tonko (D-NY) introduced a legislative proposal titled the “Our Future Wagers Act” that would ban sports betting advertising on any electronic communication channel under the FCC’s authority.

Its unclear if the legislation will be approved by the House with a majority vote, but its proposal mirrors the swift expansion and impact of sports wagering in the United States.
