W88 Inks Jersey Sponsorship Deal with Burnley

W88 has inked a fresh Premier League sponsorship pact with Burnley, marking the brand’s fifth jersey sponsorship agreement with a Premier League team.

The one-year arrangement will encompass the 2023-24 season, with the W88 logo gracing the front of the players’ uniforms. This will include both the men’s and women’s primary squads.

The Asia-focused operator will also have branding showcased on surfaces surrounding the club’s Turf Moor stadium and on digital platforms.

Furthermore, W88 will lend support to Burnley in community projects and events, connecting with fans and aiding charitable endeavors.

Burnley will be vying in the Premier League during the 2023-24 season, having successfully achieved promotion from the Championship last season.

The brand has previously collaborated with Wolves, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and, most recently, Fulham.

The accord arrives after the Premier League declared in April that clubs had consented to cease gambling sponsorship on matchday jerseys.

The removal of shirt sponsorship will become effective at the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign. Arrangements with operators, both existing partnerships and new deals, can continue until that date.

The Premier League also stated it would collaborate with other sports to develop a new accountable gambling sponsorship code encompassing the entire professional sports sector.

Burnley’s arrangement with W88 is only for a single year, signifying the agreement will expire before the prohibition takes effect.

Earlier this month, Aston Villa agreed to a jersey sponsorship deal with Asia-facing operator BK8. The deal will continue until the end of the 2025-26 season, aligning with the implementation of the ban.

Newcastle United has decided to reduce its agreement with offshore operator Fun88. The brand has been a principal partner since the 2017-18 season, but will now concentrate on propelling the club’s growth in Asia.
