The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of BetMakers, Anthony Perrin, will be departing the organization after a period exceeding five years. Perrin was instrumental in the firm’s development and growth throughout his time there.

His official departure date is set for March 27, 2024. The search for Perrin’s successor has commenced, with an announcement expected soon. In the interim, Warrick van der Merwe, BetMakers Group Financial Controller, will assume the role of acting CFO. Van der Merwe, who has been with the company for approximately three years, previously reported to Perrin while overseeing the Australian and Group financial reporting unit.

Jake Henson, CEO of BetMakers, conveyed his appreciation for Perrin’s contributions, highlighting his respected leadership and the financial rigor he brought to the company. Henson affirmed that Perrin leaves BetMakers well-prepared for profitable expansion and extended his best wishes for Perrin’s future pursuits.

This development comes on the heels of other recent executive transitions within the sector, including the departures of Star Entertainment Group’s CEO and CFO last week.
