BCLC Celebrates Five-Star Diversity and Inclusion Employer Award
The British Columbia Gaming Commission (BCLC) is commemorating a significant victory for its devotion to diversity and inclusivity. A prominent human resources platform bestowed upon BCLC a sought-after “five-star diversity and inclusion employer” designation, acknowledging the institution’s commitment to cultivating a welcoming and impartial work environment. BCLC distinguished itself as the sole organization of its magnitude in Canada to attain this accolade.
Sandy Austin, BCLC’s Temporary Chief Personnel Officer, stressed that establishing a more inclusive culture is paramount to the company’s societal objective of enhancing the lives of all individuals. BCLC has made a public pledge to establishing a prejudice-free atmosphere where every person feels appreciated and esteemed. This pledge is reinforced by a novel Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging policy introduced in 2021, further solidifying BCLC’s dedication to equity and combating racism.
During the sixth month of 2022, BCLC broadened its PlayNow system within Saskatchewan by means of a pact with the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA). This collaborative effort introduced internet-based wagering choices to inhabitants of Saskatchewan.
