Combating Human Trafficking: US Gaming Industry Takes a Stand with New Training

0

The United States Gaming Association (USGA) has collaborated with an internet-based educational platform known as RG24seven to develop complimentary materials for casino personnel to assist them in identifying and preventing human trafficking.

These materials, which debuted on January 11th in recognition of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, merge the knowledge of law enforcement agencies and charitable institutions with the USGA’s own anti-trafficking task force. The instruction encompasses recordings and assessments, and staff members who finish it will be granted a certification.

Gaming establishments can reach out to RG24seven to obtain access to the training for their workforce.

The USGA is not the sole entity in its endeavors to combat human trafficking. Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming have also been broadening their educational initiatives and assets to oppose this unlawful activity. In recent times, Hard Rock has instructed over 27,000 of its lodging and casino staff on trafficking consciousness and deterrence.

Alex Costello, the USGA’s vice president of governmental affairs, stressed that combating human trafficking is an integral part of the gaming sector’s dedication to the localities where they conduct business.

The U.S. Gaming Association (AGA) takes pride in spearheading the fight against human trafficking within the casino sector. Their complimentary educational program equips staff at every tier to identify and dismantle trafficking rings.

Wendy Anderson, head of RG24seven, conveyed her eagerness to collaborate with the AGA on this critical initiative.

Beyond the training program, the AGA will acknowledge Human Trafficking Prevention Month by issuing a resource collection specifically designed for the sector. They are also joining forces with the University of Maryland’s National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to arrange gatherings nationwide, boosting public understanding and cooperating with authorities to tackle this appalling offense.
